Freya in the new Maybelline campaign
Danish model and all round stylish lady Freya Beha Erichsen has been announced as the new face and brand ambassador of Maybelline New York. Joining the likes of model Charlotte Free, Christy Turlington and Erin Wasson, Freya is the next lucky lady be utteringing the words ‘Maybe It’s Maybelline’ in her roles as a Maybelline ambassador.
Speaking to WWD, Damien Bertrand, Maybelline’s global brand president said “Freja is an incredibly beautiful and confident woman. Not only is she a top model for a new generation, but she is also a modern style icon off the runway. She truly captures the catwalk-to-sidewalk spirit of Maybelline.” It’s not the first time Freya has been asked to be the face of a brand, you may have seen her face in H&M and Gap campaigns, but this is her first make-up campaign, which we think is long over due! Congrats Freya!
However, Freya is still in high-demand when it comes to walking the catwalk, making regular appearances on the runways of designer such as Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Yves Saint Laurent, we'll be expecting to see her in the next couple of days as New York Fashion Week officially kicks off today, and as New York is officailly Maybelline's hub, we're hoping to catch up with Freya backstage to find out how she feels about her new signing.
All we need to see now are the new Maybelline campaign images starring Freya, which are due to appear this Autumn. Can we expect a rocky, Freya style edge to the new Maybelline ad campaigns? We’re thinking so. But for now, check out the gallery to se some of Freya's finest catwalk moments.
