Pregnant Drew Barrymore breaks the Hollywood trend as she admits she doesn't care about baby weight gain

The 38-year-old is expecting her second child but don't expect her to be starving herself any time soon

Drew Barrymore has never been a typical Hollywood star but her latest comments have singled her out among her fellow A-listers.

The 38-year-old is currently pregnant with her second child and rather than bang on about yoga and healthy eating she’s admitted she’s not worrying about her figure.

“Oh God, I’m just eating everything I want,” she said when asked if she’s having any weird cravings this time around.

Speaking on The Ellen Show in the US, Drew laughed as she recalled her most recent trip to the doctor for a routine check-up.

‘My doctor the other day was like, “Yeah so maybe pull back [on the eating]” and I was like “Really? I thought I was doing great!”’

Drew, who is already mum to 14-month-old Olive, gave a refreshingly honest answer to all those critics who put pressure on new mums to lose the baby weight.

‘Look, it takes nine months to make it, it takes nine months to unmake it. I don’t ever pose like I’m so fabulous and I lose it like that. I wanna enjoy the pasta right now!’ she told host Ellen DeGeneres.

‘It’s not like it’s gonna make that much difference – what’s 10 pounds?’

As if we couldn’t love Drew anymore, she goes and says something that makes complete and utter sense.

Drew and her art consultant husband Will Kopelman are expecting another girl in the spring and motherhood has clearly tamed this former wild child.

We wonder if other Hollywood stars will follow Drew’s lead and embrace their pregnancies and everything that goes with it.
