Y! Lifestyle reviews the newest haircare line on the market — Dove Colour Radiance...
This month, Dove released a new range of haircare for coloured hair. Do we rate it?
The Dove Colour Radiance line is supposed to give you that feeling of 'freshly coloured hair'. You know that feeling when you've just come out of the hair salon and you feel on top of the world? Yeah, that feeling! Apparently two thirds of us feel more confident when our hair colour doesn't fade, so Dove has created a haircare range that's said to keep our hair colour vibrant for longer. I couldn't wait to try it.

I have newly coloured hair so the Dove Colour Radiance line really appealed to me. My golden highlights have faded slightly and now my hair just resembles a muddy brown mess. Anything that can help enhance and liven up my dull locks was worth a try!
Dove Colour Radiance Shampoo 250ml - RRP £2.49
The first thing I noticed about the Colour Radiance range was the gorgeous scent. It's lovely and sweet — but not that typical Dove scent you'd expect. It felt like my hair was getting real nourishment from this shampoo and it left it really soft and nourished.

Dove Colour Radiance Conditioner 200ml - RRP £2.49
Next up was the conditioner from the line, the scent of which matched that of the shampoo. I left this in for a little bit longer than the shampoo to really help heal my hair. The range is supposed to reconstruct the hair folicles from deep within, which is great for me and my dull/damaged hair.
Dove Colour Radiance Leave-in Conditioning & Care Spray 200ml - RRP £3.39
I was really impressed with this product to begin with, as it can be used on wet or dry hair. It's basically a leave-in conditioning spray that you can use whenever your hair is in need of a boost. I like to use mine after I've towel dried my hair. It made my locks feel lovely and soft — and much more manageable! It also made my hair nice and shiny, and the colour looked brighter, too.

Dove Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner 180ml - RRP £3.35
If you're after a deeper treatment, Dove recommends you use this products instead of the conditioner, but I like to give my hair a lot of loving so I used it after my conditioner. I noticed it was a thicker treatment and it's also pink as opposed to white. This product just felt like a dream to apply — it's so thick and creamy! I use loads, lathering it all over my hair, before combing it through and then leaving it on for a couple of minutes. Here's a tip — after you've washed your conditioner out, finish it off with a blast of ice cold water to make it really shiny.

What I love about these products is that they make you really want to show off your hair! It's so shiny and soft that you can't stop running your hands through it and waving your hair about. I think that may be a side effect of its amazingness…
I also think it lives up to its mandate as a colour protector. My highlights have never looked so vibrant and fresh. I've tried a lot of hair products in my time and this reasonably priced range really is one of the best. Give it a try!
The Dove Colour Radiance range is available from all major chemists and supermarkets, including Boots, Superdrug and Tesco.
