Pink Explains THAT Epic Response To Online Trolls Who Dissed Her Weight: ‘I Have Feelings Too’
The mum-of-one took to Twitter earlier this year to respond to body-shaming critics and now she’s opened up about the reason behind it. It turns out, she's not as tough as nails after all...
If you mess with anyone in celeb-land, you DON’T mess with Pink.
The singer did not take well to online trolls who dissed her weight earlier this year, writing a lengthy post on Twitter shaming the critics who said she looked bigger than usual. (She didn't - it was total rubbish).
And now the singer has opened up about why she responded so personally to the online body-shaming attack, revealing she will not be brought down by cyber bullies.
“I don’t take well to bullying. I am not a person that will be bullied. I am not a person that will stand by and watch other people being bullied,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the BMI Pop Awards this week.
And while Pink may look tough as nails, the mum-of-one revealed she’s just like anyone else – she doesn’t appreciate haters knocking her feelings.
“I’m also raising a girl, I am a girl, I have feelings. People think I take no sh*t and I’m tough, tougher than nails. I’m a human being,” she said.
But ultimately, she had one thing to say to the online trolls – she DOESN’T care. Her life as a Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter/mum/wife is going pretty well, thanks.
“I think people have got it wrong. I think they think their opinion holds some weight – and I don’t know why they’re giving themselves so much credit,” said the 35-year-old, who’s been married to husband Carey Hart for ten years.
“I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don’t care. My life is full. I like food, a lot. I like to cook, I like to live, I find joy in that and we’re doing alright in the Hart household.”
Got it? Don’t mess with Pink. Period.
