Top 10 Scarf-Capes: And How to Wear The Trend

By Charlotte Goodayle, The Goodowl

Not quite a scarf and not quite a coat, the happy medium between the two. No doubt you would have seen these poncho esque capes floating about the shops throughout the year, they first caught my eye at London fashion week in September when the Burberry monograph cape was the coat of choice for bloggers and celebrities alike with big names such as Olivia Palermo and Cara Delevingne leading the way. Admittedly I’ve been slow to hop on the trend train, but with capes set to be even bigger in the new year its hard not to climb on board, especially with all these beauties up for grabs.

How to Wear The Trend

As these oversized blankets lack arms and fastenings its essential to layer up to avoid feeling the chill. My favourite way to wear them is with roll neck jumpers like this one from New Look for £8.99 .Then to give it some sort of shape and stop myself from looking too swamped in fabric, I like to add a thin belt just to pull it all together.
