How To Wear Red Lipstick – 3 Red Lip Looks For Your Skintone

Wearing red lipstick can be tricky, even for the seasoned beauty pro. Not only is there a huge choice of colours and tones, there’s also a wide range of finishes to choose from.

From blood red to berry red, satin or shiny – today I’ve teamed up with Annie and Charlotte to showcase three different red lip looks, and how you can wear them!

Look #1 - Bright And Bold

The first look of the day is bright and bold lips with a warm, orange tone. Forget about whether you’re warm or cool toned, orange-red is very wearable and lends a modern chic look to all skintones.

I’m wearing No 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Gay Geranium (£9.95) – an 8 hour orange-red with a satin finish which makes such a bold tone easier to pull off.

Charlotte has gone for a matte theme and is wearing Daniel Sandler Luxury Matte Lipstick in Marilyn (£13.50), a highly pigmented orange-toned shade which would look lovely on pale skin as it’s slightly pinker than the No7 shade..

Matte isn’t for everyone though, Annie is wearing NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick in Heatwave (£19.50), a modern, semi-matte lipstick that provides full-bodied, velvety color (and makes your lips look naturally voluminous!).

Look #2 - Pillarbox Red
