Who wore it best: Beyoncé vs January Jones in Topshop

Both stars stepped out in the same sold-out monochrome dress by the high street store but which look do you prefer?

We’ve long known that it was a high street haven for on-trend threads but it looks like Topshop is fast becoming the go-to choice for some of our fave A-list celebrities.

In the latest edition of Who Wore It Best, Beyoncé and January Jones have both been spotted out in the same striped monochrome Topshop dress.

Beyoncé wore it first, back on March 7, for a night out at the Arts Club in Mayfair.

Unwinding after one of her many London mega concerts, Beyoncé stepped out in the sateen shift dress paired with black stilettoes.

The 32-year-old wore her blonde locks in long mermaid waves and kept accessories to a minimum for a night of partying with hubby Jay-Z and will.i.am.

We had to smile when Beyoncé was spotted leaving the exclusive club at 5am, covering her shift dress with her jacket and we all know what that means – red wine spillage.

Don’t worry Bey, we’ve all been there!

All jokes aside though, this is what Beyoncé looks at after performing in front of 20,000 people and partying all night until 5am. Not fair.

January Jones chose the Topshop dress for the 2nd annual Rebel with a Cause cancer research gala in LA last week.

The X-Men actress paired the dress with black sandals and a mirrored clutch, both by Jimmy Choo.

In contrast to Beyoncé’s more natural beauty look, Janaury opted for a striking red lip with her mid-length bob in tousled, messy waves.

Not that either of these ladies need it but the alternating panels along the side of the dress give the illusion of a perfect hourglass figure, basically making it one of the most flattering high street dresses we’ve ever seen.

Alas, for us copycat fans the dress has sold out online but maybe if we kick up enough fuss Sir Phillip Green will take the hint and churn out a few more.

Worth a try eh?
