Met Gala 2015: Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé Lead Stars In Sheer Trend
Both divas flashed the flesh at fashion's biggest night out in New York but they weren't the only stars to bare all
On the invite, the theme of 2015's Met Gala was 'China: Through The Looking Glass' but by the looks of the red carpet last night it was all about the sheer trend that just refuses to go away.
Of course, Kim Kardashian led the way on the sheer front in a sequin and feather creation by Roberto Cavalli.
The white showstopping gown featured intricate beading over a sheer lace body that just about covered her modesty.
Dropping in diamonds, Kim's barely there dress descended into a full feather train that reminded us of an even more extravagant version of her Givenchy wedding dress.
Kim was accompanied by her husband Kanye West who looked about as excited as he usually does on the red carpet, despite his recent foray into the world of fashion design.
Kim's frenemy Beyoncé also opted for the sequin and sheer trend, this time in Givenchy Couture.
Not that we though it was possible, but Bey flashed even more flesh than Kim in her delicate nude gown but upped the bling factor with multi-coloured, strategically placed gems.
We can't blame Beyoncé for wanting to show off her bodacious bod but the flagrant disregard for the dress code coupled with a painful looking ponytail left us unimpressed by the outfit.
Of course Kim and Queen Bey weren't the only stars to jump on the sheer trend.
Jennifer Lopez jumped at the chance to show off her banging curves in a sheer, sequin Versace gown that made the most of her enviable assets.
J-Lo matched her dramatic red eye make up to the fiery dragon motif on her gown for a look that was both gorgeous and in line with the dress code.
See ladies, it's not impossible!
Zoe Kravitz reminded us of an indie Kim K in her silver sheer (yes sheer!) Alexander Wang gown that gave us a glimpse of her legs through what looks like 21st century chainmail.
Karlie Kloss also chose sheer to show off her pins in a black Atelier Versace gown, set off nicelty by her emerald green chandelier earrings.
Even Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's rose gold Atelier Versace cut-out dress featured a hint of sheer panelling!
Alas, Irina Shyak's attempt to get on the trend fell flat in a lilac embroidered satin gown, also by Atelier Versace.
