Blake Lively is named as face of Gucci perfume

Blake Lively has been announced as the face of Gucci’s perfume, Gucci Première.

The Gossip Girl star will front the label’s next female fragance which is said to be inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of the silver screen.

Gucci’s Creative Directior, Frida Giannini, said: “Blake's unique style and charisma brings that allure to life in a very contemporary way.”

Talking about her new gig, Blake said: “It is a pleasure to collaborate with Frida Giannini. I admire the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and feel honoured to represent the fragrance."

Blake joins current Gucci fragrance faces Evan Rachel Wood and James Franco.

Gucci Première launches worldwide from July 2012.
