The US version of Elle Magazine has come under attack for covering up plus-sized Bridesmaids actress Melissa McCarthy in an over-sized coat on its cover.
Critics claim the magazine is purposefully hiding Melissa's shape because she doesn't conform to the typical proportions of a cover model.
So, what do you think?
43-year-old Melissa is wearing a coat and dress by plus-size label Marina Rinaldi in the picture, but we can't help thinking there's something not quite right.
The writers of fashion blog Go Fug Yourself wrote, "I kind of can't believe they put the plus-size actress on their cover BURIED INSIDE A GIANT COAT."
One American psychotherapist revealed on radio that this type of cover is sending a message that all fuller figured women should hide away, and that their talent, beauty and popularity is trumped by their size. Uh Oh.

Elle has defended the cover saying this is the look Melissa chose to wear and felt the most comfortable with. Well, that's the most important thing right?
Plus, it is the November issue of the magazine so coats are an obvious choice...it's not like they've wrapped her up in June!
No doubt this cover will reignite Lena Dunham's earlier debate after she appeared on the cover of Marie Claire UK.
She was famously quoted as saying, "I do think it takes fashion magazines a minute to be comfortable with variations of any kind. Adele is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but every time I see her on the cover, it's like a crop of her face and it's just so boring at this point. It's such a boring conversation."
However, the final image chosen for her Marie Claire cover was, you've guessed it, just of her shoulders and face. Awkward. At least Elle have taken a step in the right direction and featured Melissa's actual body (even if it is covered up).
Do you think Elle is in the wrong?
