Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe are bold and beautiful for House of Holland dinner in New York

The fashionistas stood out in bold prints and checks for Henry Holland's launch

Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe looked bold and beautiful in bright prints and checks at a Henry Holland dinner in New York last night.

Neither Alexa nor Daisy shied away from colour or print for the event, which launched the British designer's House of Holland 2014 Resort collection.

TV host and author Alexa was feeling blue in a checked below the knee pencil skirt with a powder blue shirt, toughened up with a black leather jacket.

The 29-year-old kept her accessories black too with a simple pair of pumps and the Mulberry Bryn handbag.

Model Daisy showed her support for Henry in one of his designs - a bright, 70s inspired green and blue jumpsuit.

Black pumps seemed to be the footwear of choice for all the ladies at the dinner and Daisy matched hers with an oversized black clutch.

The 24-year old let the bold print do the talking and kept hair and make-up au naturel for a fresh-faced look.

The event was hosted by model and actress Dree Hemingway, great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway, and also attended by models Naomi Shimada, Harley Viera-Newton and Leigh Lezark.

Henry posted a photo of himself with host Dree, who was also in head-to-toe House of Holland, on Instagram with the caption: "Yay! Hostess with the mostess #HENYDREE".

No word on what Dree and Henry served up for dinner but judging by the photos, it was bound to be fabulous darling!
